How it works
The fine print, confessed
- What goes on-chain?
- Only
sha256(salt ‖ text), the sin tag and the amount. Your browser makes a random 32-byte salt, so nobody can guess short confessions by hashing a list of phrases. Public confessions also store the text. - How do I prove a confession was mine?
- Keep the receipt file you download after confessing. It holds the salt and the text; /verify hashes them again and matches the on-chain record.
- Where does the money go?
- Every confession (at least 0.0001 ETH) and every like (0.00001 ETH) goes to the SinBurner contract. Once it holds 0.01 ETH, anyone can trigger a burn: it buys $SIN on pons and sends it to the dead address. The caller earns a 0.5% tip.
- What is the Sin Market?
- Seven ERC-1155 sins (Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, Sloth), each on its own $SIN bonding curve: the first costs 7 $SIN and each one after moves the price 7%. Selling refunds the curve minus a 5% fee that is burned (2.5% for the sin of the season). Absolving destroys your items and burns all the $SIN behind them. You can pay in ETH; it is swapped to $SIN on pons.
- Badges?
- Three soulbound badges: Full House of Sin (hold all seven), Clean Slate (absolve each of the seven) and Regular (confess seven days in a row).
- Who controls the contracts?
- Nobody. No owner, no admin keys, no withdraw functions. Prices, fees and the season rotation are fixed in code.
- Sin roulette?
- Pick roulette and the contract assigns one of the seven. It is a fun pseudo-random pick, not a lottery: there are no prizes anywhere on sinhood.
